Building a Brand

Me, practicing what I preach: Hey! I'm Jess! I'm an Equestrian, an Introvert and a Business Owner!

Building a brand will not only grow your business and help you attract ideal clients, but it will also allow you to relate to your potential clients and be able to genuinely let them see the value of the service you offer. Wisconsin businesses are catching on that authentic branding photography captures the attention and imaginiation of your local clients!

Showcasing Brand Photography across your website, social media and email is a great way to grow a personal brand, as Branding is what gets your ideal client to pay attention to you. It’s what allows you to stand out from a crowd. It's how someone experiences you and your business as a whole. Even companies that aren't run by a single individual experience the benefits of showing the people behind the business.

Personal branding brings a human connection. Don't feel like you have to be some local celebrity or something. People like knowing people. So while it might be daunting to pull back the curtain a little bit (hi, introvert here), ultimately, you're letting people see the person or team behind the work, and that is key, since we work with those that we know, like and trust.

We don't tend to have a personal connection with global business like coca cola or pepsi because they are so large that they become impersonal. But personal brand marketing allows you to show up uniquely and in a way that only you can. It's all about your personal values, mission, likes and dislikes, messaging, tone and more. Leveraging your personal brand will set you apart in the marketplace, because no one can be you. I really foresee people getting back to supporting local and shifting in some niches away from supporting impersonal business.

Ways to build your a brand:

Show up on your social media platforms and website through photos and videos of you.

Infuse your marketing messaging, website copy and emails with your personal tone and brand voice.

Curious on how to bring your unique voice to your messaging? I highly recommend checking out the book StoryBrand! It helps you understand how to pose your client as the hero of the story and you as the "guide" who helps them along the way!

Is Branding Photography for you?

If you own a business, then YES!

The bottom line is, people like to know who they are buying from, and tend to cultuivate more loyalty to a business they know, like and trust. Generic stock photos just don't communicate like lifestyle brand images do. Don't let insecurity get in your way, your customers would be happy to see the face(s) behind your business!!

With the border collie handshake of approval, this is Jess, signing off!
